i was never really creative...

 

I grew up in a home that didn't really appreciate art. It wasn't until my teenage years where art really started to impact me. Starting with music and evolving to photography, my journey into the arts is not the typical one but I think it gave me a unique perspective on how I approach photography and videography...

 

I Love the analytical and problem solving aspect of photography

I started taking pictures when I was 21 years old. It was out of necessity because my very talented wife was overwhelmed with wedding photo bookings and she needed some help. I started second shooting at her weddings and instantly fell in love with the ability to freeze a moment. The dopamine rush of getting a perfect shot and the satisfaction of nailing the lighting after problem solving for 30 minutes. During this period I was also a medic full time in the Air Force. After a 10 year career there I decided to fully embrace my artistic side and pursue photography and videography fully.

 

Besides supporting my wife and her shoots I also part time in communications for state government. I try to sprinkle a little music production and sound design in there as well. I am so lucky to have found this medium to express myself and I can't believe I get to support my family by doing something I love. Thank you for reading and I look forward to working with you.
